Mercedes CPC Tuning

After a long anticipated wait we have now unlocked the capability of flashing the Mercedes central powertrain modules (aka. CPC Module or PTCU).

We have spent the past few months working alongside a leading developer in the US to offer this solution through select specialist dealerships. At this stage the major downside to the upgrade is that we do need to replace the factory CPC with a black factory one. Once completed we are able to flash in our own custom software, allowing us to remove and increase all internal Torque and Speed limitations within the unit. 

For those of you who are new to the CPC topic, here is a quick overview. As of 2019 Mercedes models have been coming out of the factory with newly restrictive software in the PTCU controller. This software includes a number of torque limits which act as a master governer for all units, i.e. ECU & TCU. So effectively, if we are to tune the engine control unit and program the engine to produce 800Nm of torque but the CPC limits are still set to 650Nm, then we find a performance drop due to the CPC restricting the ECU. We do still see an overall improvement over stock but cannot reach the great potential many of these cars have available. 

The same theory applies to the transmission, but luckily we are able to tune these also.
